The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has declared that the National Assembly is “2000 percent” in support of President Bola Tinubu.
Akpabio made the remark on Wednesday while representing the president at the inauguration of the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, E-GIS, and Alausa Complex in Lagos.
Describing Tinubu as a visionary leader and a man on a mission, the Senate President said the National Assembly is fully committed to supporting the administration in delivering its mandate to Nigerians.

“Tinubu is not just a visionary or a man on a mission, he is a man that is out to fulfil his purpose on earth for this country, and in doing so, we are very proud of him in the National Assembly,” he said.
“We are 2000 percent behind him, and we will make sure that your son returns a hero after he has delivered the dividends of democracy to Nigeria.”
Akpabio also disclosed that he had to cancel an international engagement to represent the president at the event.
“I was meant to present a speech before the Crown Prince of Morocco tonight, but I’m being represented. When Mr President called me and said you must represent me, I had to cancel that engagement and I came here.
“That is the presidency, and that is your son — you must be proud of him. Having said that, I’m delighted at the wonders here,” he added.
