The National Coalition Against Terrorism has expressed its support for a Federal High Court order in Kano State that reversed the suspension of All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The court ruling, issued on Wednesday, followed an ex parte motion filed by Ganduje seeking to enforce his right to fair hearing.
Terrence Kuanum, the president of the coalition, praised the court’s decision during a press conference on Thursday, calling it a welcome development.

He expressed concern that individuals not affiliated with the APC could announce the suspension of a party chairman without following due process.
Kuanum stated, “Today, faith in the Nigerian Judiciary is reaffirmed with an order in response to an application for the enforcement of fundamental rights, ensuring fair hearings.
This order was granted by Hon. Justice A. M. Lima of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Kano Judicial Division.”
He highlighted that the court’s order restrains individuals not affiliated with the APC from implementing the decision to suspend Ganduje, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application for the enforcement of fundamental rights.
Kuanum praised the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, for upholding the integrity of the Nigerian judicial system.
