Nigerian Civil Aviation Agency (NCAA) has given endorsement to the recent cargo tariff increase by the Nigerian Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance)
under the auspice of the association of Nigerian License Customs Agents and association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, an agreement has been reached for a 20 percent tariff increase two months ago.
Although the official approval by NCAA was just being made public, an engagement has been previously made to preview the new increase that is coming into place.
In a letter of notification sent to CEO of NAHCO Aviance, dated 2nd of July, the content of the letter specifies the approval that is given to let 20 percent increase come into place on import Handling charge from N38.00/kg and the courier handling from N45.00/kg.
However, Nigerian Civil Aviation Agency is further requested in participating in future consultation concerning such subject matter.
