The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Enugu State chapter, has announced details for the screening of aspirants seeking elective positions in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Friday by the party’s State Chairman, Dr. Johnpaul Anih; Secretary, Dr. Sebastine Okafor; and Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Ugwueze, the party disclosed that the screening exercise will hold on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

According to the statement, Prof. I.G. Nwangwu will serve as Chairman of the Screening Committee, while Barr. Peace Chidi Ugwu will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Chinachi Nnabuko and Emma Onovo.
The party also constituted an Appeal Committee with Prof. Chinedu Aguba as Chairman, Mrs. Chioma Agbo as Secretary, while Clinton Ogbonna and Rev’d Austin Nnaji will serve as members.
The statement further disclosed that the screening exercise would take place at the Dragon Recreation Centre in Enugu.
The committee advised aspirants to appear with photocopies and original copies of their birth certificates, four recent passport photographs, voter cards, curriculum vitae, and NDC membership cards.
The party also fixed Monday, May 25, 2026, for appeals arising from the screening exercise.
