Ex Leicester City defender, Steve Howey has come out to say that he feels Ainsley Maitland-Niles can’t play ahead of Ndidi. He recently revealed that if the Foxes sign Maitland-Niles, he won’t be first choice in midfield.

According to him, the fact is that Ainsley Maitland-Niles has proven to be a good player at Arsenal and West Brom, but Ndidi is obviously the better footballer.

He added that Niles even has quality like Tielemans to contend with it he joins Leicester

His words, “I mean, he obviously started off at Arsenal as kind of a full-back,”

“Big Sam [Allardyce] brought him in at West Brom; ultimately, it did not pay off because they got relegated. I think he is a decent player, but he is not getting ahead of Ndidi and [Youri] Tielemans.”
