The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have confirmed Super Eagles’ friendly game against Togo on Thursday, June 1.
The friendly game which was first announced by the Togolese Football Federation (TFF) was put into doubt due to logistic concerns have now been confirmed by the NFF.
“The @NGSuperEagles will play two international friendly matches, against the Senior National Teams of Corsica and Togo,” the NFF confirmed via Twitter.
Before the game against Togo, the Super Eagles have also been scheduled to play a friendly against Corsica on Friday, May 26.
The friendly games are to prepare the Super Eagles for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa on Saturday, June 10.
South Africa have never beaten Nigeria in a competitive game but new South Africa coach Stuart Baxter has promised to give the Super Eagles a tough game.
Nigeria and South Africa are both in Group E of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers and meet in the matchday one in Nigeria.
