The Niger State House of Assembly Joint Committee on Agriculture, Land, and Environment has reiterated its commitment to supporting the state’s Agricultural Revolution Agenda.
During an oversight visit to inspect farm machinery procured by the state government at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna, the committee assured citizens of its dedication to complementing the efforts of the present administration for the benefit of the state.
Chairman of the committee, Mohammed Alhaji Haruna, emphasized the importance of their oversight visit, stating that it was part of their constitutional mandate to ensure optimal usage of the equipment.

The committee inspected machinery including 208 tractors, six harvester machines, and 200 power tiller machines, with 800 more expected to arrive soon out of the 1000 initially planned.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Bawa Bosso, expressed appreciation for the committee’s visit and urged them to continue monitoring the ministry’s activities, providing advice as needed.
The committee’s visit underscores the legislature’s role in overseeing the implementation of government programs and ensuring accountability in public service delivery.
