The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) has decorated 120 newly promoted officers at the Edo Command with various ranks as part of its nationwide promotion exercise.
During the ceremony, the Comptroller of Correctional Service, Edo Command, Philomena Emehimola, urged the newly promoted officers to view their elevations as a call to greater responsibility.
She emphasized the need for them to demonstrate diligence and commitment to justify their promotions.

Emehimola stated, “Those of you who have been promoted, you must be ready to do more work, for the rewards for promotion is more work.
You have been called to duty, and you have to prove to the Nigerian Correctional Service that you are up to the task and that your promotion was not a mistake.”
She commended the Comptroller General of NCoS, Halliru Nababa, for prioritizing the promotion of officers in the command. Emehimola expressed confidence that the newly promoted officers would live up to expectations and discharge their duties diligently.
One of the newly promoted officers, Deputy Superintendent Ayemien Otasowie, expressed joy and gratitude for the promotion, acknowledging that it came with increased responsibility.
Otasowie attributed the promotion to divine favor and expressed readiness to fulfill the responsibilities associated with the new rank.
The decoration ceremony signifies the commitment of the NCoS to recognize and reward the dedication and hard work of its officers across the country.
