The United Nation’s Children Fund, UNICEF has begged Nigeria to vaccinate Nigerian children as soon as possible.
The group recently said that this move is necessary to prevent any risk of an uncertain future and possibly dire health prospects for the kids in the country.
According to UNICEF’s Representative in Nigeria, Peter Hawkins, Nigeria is facing a critical moment of choice, where kids can either be protected from several preventable diseases or exposed to a dangerous future.
He added that this is a vital moment for the innocent kids and it is up to the government to safeguard their health or leave them open to sicknesses and death.
His words, “Nigeria is facing a critical moment of choice,where children can either be protected from a host of preventable diseases or face an uncertain future and possibly dire health prospects.”
“This is a critical moment for Nigeria’s children. We can either seize it – or condemn millions of children to preventable illness or even death.”
