    Nigeria Will Soon Start Producing Aircraft Spare Parts – Ogbonnaya Onu

    OnuThe Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that Nigeria can manufacture industrial machine spare parts including those of aircraft through Projects Development Institute (PRODA), Enugu.

    Mr. Ogbonnaya revealed this during the inauguration of projects at the Projects Development Institute (PRODA).

    According to him, it is good to see that the institute is now available to aid the diversification mantra of the Federal Government.

    His words, “I have seen the progress so far made in this institute but we want them to do more. We want PRODA to be a centre of excellence.”

    He also urged the institute to continue its research on the production of lithium batteries so they can commercialize the findings.

    On the pencil production project of the institute, Onu disclosed that he was pleased that production had begun on it.

    “We have all seen pencils produced by PRODA and this effort is quite commendable.”
