Commander of the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. Nsikak Edet, has called upon both the military and civilians to continue their collaborative efforts in fostering peace and unity within the nation.
The appeal was made during the Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, in Abia state on Saturday.
Represented by the Brigade’s Chief of Staff, Lt.-Col. John Timbuak, Brig.-Gen. Edet stressed the importance of maintaining peace and building trust among Nigerians, irrespective of their ethnic or religious affiliations.

He described the carol event as a moment for reflection, thanksgiving, and anticipation of the coming year.
“It also helps us to aspire not just to be religious but also righteous people.
Therefore, in the spirit of this season, let us consider ways that we can help one another for the peace and unity of our dear nation,” he remarked.
The commander’s words highlight the significance of fostering unity and understanding across diverse backgrounds, emphasizing the role of shared responsibility in achieving national harmony.
