The Nigerian Senate has held its last plenary session for the year 2016.
The upper legislative chamber, on Thursday, December 15, adjourned plenary to January 10, 2017.
The Senate made the announcement after rejecting President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The lawmakers rejected Magu due to a security report provided by the Department of State Services (DSS).
