Lukman Adeleye, the minority leader of the Ogun State Assembly, has expressed his dismay at the current state of affairs in Nigeria and urged President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action.
Adeleye claimed that, under the current government, ordinary Nigerians are unable to provide for their families’ nutritional needs since food prices have increased to unaffordable levels.
Adeleye addressed the audience at a small business empowerment session organized in Odogbolu in honor of International Youth Day.

He lamented that the floating of the naira and the unexpected elimination of the fuel subsidy by the current administration have lowered people’s purchasing power.
The congressman voiced concern about the current economic scenario in the country and suggested that lawmakers equip the populace to alleviate the crisis.
It’s concerning that many people can’t afford to feed their families adequately or send their kids to school because of the skyrocketing cost of food and other necessities.
Inflation has been a major factor in the continuous decline of small firms. Before things get out of hand, he said, “the President has to do something about this.”
