Former Kogi State Senator, Dino Melaye, has said Nigerians will decide the kind of president they want in the 2027 general elections.
Melaye said the election would give Nigerians an opportunity to choose between candidates he described as a “drug lord,” “liar” or “democrat.”
The former senator made the remark while discussing the political contest ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He urged Nigerians to examine the character, records and credentials of presidential candidates before casting their votes.
Melaye said the electorate should not allow political sentiments, ethnicity or other considerations to influence their decisions at the polls.
He called on Nigerians to use their votes to demand credible leadership and accountability from those seeking to govern the country.
The former lawmaker’s comments come amid growing political exchanges among opposition figures and supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 elections.
