Governors of the 19 northern states have paid tribute to the late Second Republic Deputy Senate President, Senator John Wash Pam, who died on Thursday at the age of 73.
The governors, under the platform of Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) on Friday, described the late Pam as an uncommon leader, whose commitment to the uplift of his people was never in doubt.
In a condolence message signed by Danladi Ndayebo, Chief Press Secretary to Chairman of NSGF and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, the Forum lamented that Pam’s death came at a time when the guidance and advice of elders like him were needed to steer the ship of state.
However, the Forum said it was comforted that the values the late politician left behind would serve as a guiding light to the present and future generations of Nigerians.
