Manchester City defender, Kyle Walker has come out to issue a rallying call to his teammates. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he can only urge his fellow City players to get through the mud after losing against Brighton on Saturday, because now is the time for him and his teammates to show their real character.
Walker added that bad phases pass in football, and the club just have to weather the storm.
His words, “This is the time where I want to see the players and real characters come through. We were arriving at the ball a little bit late, but I think it’s the period we’re going through at the minute.
There are many reasons [for our dip in form]. How you’re feeling on a day-to-day basis. It’s been tough, but we’ve been fortunate over the past eight years to have a lot of success here. You have to show character. You have to stick your wellies on and get through the mud. It’s football and with the players and manager we have, with the club the fans, it will pass. We need to weather the storm and make sure after the international break we come back fit and ready to go for an important part of the season.”
WOW.
