PDP Governorship candidate, Governor Nyesom Wike is currently leading in 8 polling units in Woji Ward 6, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers.
The outcome revealed by Presiding Officers of Polling Units (PU) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10 proved that Wike is presently in front ahead of his rival Awara Biokpomabo of African Action Congress (AAC).
The polling officer in charge of Woji PU 1, Okeh Omenasa, disclosed that Mr Nyesom emerged victorious with 269 while Biokpomabo got 33.
Daniel Moses, Presiding Officer of PU 5 also said Mr Nyesom received 166 while Biokpomabo got 31.
Humphere Joel, Presiding Officer of Woji PU 8 disclosed that Wike polled 121 votes to defeat Biokpomabo of AAC with 24 votes.
And Tochi Onwugbuda, the Presiding Officer of Woji PU 9, shared how Biokpomabo attracted 16 votes as against Wike, who got 97 votes.
APC could not present any candidate because of a court order that rendered its primary null and void.
A faction of the ruling party though, led by Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has told party supporters to exercise their franchise in favor of AAC.
