Fielding questions from reporters about his recent visit to the Presidential villa, Olusegun Obasanjo said he went to give President Buhari the report of his Guinea trip.
Speaking recently, he said “He appointed me as his envoy to Guinea Bissau, so I needed to see him to discuss the issue of Guinea Bissau and other national matters.”
When asked about the perceived lopsided nature of the President’s appointments, Obasanjo said “I am reasonably satisfied with his performance so far, and I can’t see any reason that will make me raise any alarm at this time.”
Adding that “I made inquiries and he briefed me extensively.”
