The traditional ruler of Ogere community in Ogun State has lauded the state governor for the renovation of a primary school in the town, describing the development as a source of joy for both pupils and teachers.
Speaking on the transformation, the monarch expressed personal satisfaction, noting that the school holds sentimental value as it was where he received his early education.
“If you go to that school now, the pupils are very happy, the teachers are very happy, and I am also very happy as the king of the town because that was the primary school I went to. So he listened and responded very well, positively,” the monarch stated.
He highlighted the rapid industrialization of Ogere, attributing it to the influx of new industries and calling on the government to prioritize the town in the allocation of infrastructure projects.
“Ogere is gradually becoming the most industrialized town in the state because of the daily emergence of industries. The government should give this town special attention by allocating more infrastructure,” he said.
The monarch also commended the governor for creating a conducive environment that encourages investors to remain in the state.
“Let us thank the governor for providing a friendly business environment. If he had not done so, companies would have left; they wouldn’t stay. In terms of road development, he has performed better than any governor I have seen in my lifetime in Ogun State,” he added.
He further appealed for improved security measures in the town, citing its growing population and the presence of residents from various parts of the country engaged in commercial activities.
