Ogun PDP Press Statement: Sikirulai Ogundele And Cohorts On Another Wild Goose Chase

PDP-Logo-FlagsThe attention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under my leadership has been drawn to yet another statement by some interlopers led by one Sikirulai Ogundele that have been illegally parading themselves as executives of the PDP in Ogun state. In the said statement, the charlatans purportedly suspended party officials and some leaders of our party, including a serving senator and a state House of Assembly member.

We chose to make this reaction not because their latest action carries any weight or is of any value before the law, but it is imperative that these elements are put in their appropriate place anytime they come up with this type of shenanigan. Let it be stated again that Sikirulai and others have no locus to take any decision on behalf of the party as they remain impostors seeking relevance and dancing to the tune of an overambitious Hon. Ladi Adebutu whose obstinate and reckless desire to have the party structure has led him to create an appearance of crisis within the party.

It is unfortunate that a Sikirulai Ogundele who is currently facing trial for criminal charges of burglary and stealing at the State high court, still has the audacity to issues public statements. If not for the slow dispensation of justice over this case, he ought to be cooling his feet in Prison at the moment. Whereas and notwithstanding the fact that the legitimacy of our executive has long been laid to rest and affirmatively in our favour, this felon, out of idleness, decided to contrive a meaningless suspension of our respected leaders that are working hard to restore the glory of our party.

We hereby urge all party faithfuls, the media and general public to dismiss the purported suspension as another desperate plot of the interlopers seeking to forcefully take over the leadership of the party in Ogun state. They have no locus or legal basis to take any action as reported. We also use this medium to call on security agencies to enforce all reports and legal documents that establishes the authenticity of our executive while at the same time halt the impostors for their contemptuous actions.

Furthermore, the party is being repositioned already and various initiatives are ongoing to rejuvenate the party and bring all aggrieved members on board. It is our believe that our party shall emerge stronger and better in coming months and shall become the darling of Ogun people once again. Finally, we reiterate our call for the public to disregard whatever comes from the camp of Sikirulai and company, both now and in the future. They are simply on a wild goose chase.
