Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has paid her heartfelt tribute to veteran actor Olu Jacobs. She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.
Describing the late moviestar as a true legend whose kindness and support for younger talents left a lasting impression, Funke stated that Olu Jacobs will be remembered for his willingness to encourage and uplift upcoming entertainers.

Akindele added that the Nollywood icon’s commendable legacy and contribution to the Nigerian movie industry will never be forgotten.
Her words, “A true legend, a kind and gracious man who was always willing to support, encourage and uplift young talents.
Your remarkable legacy and contribution to our industry will never be forgotten.
My heartfelt condolences to Aunty Joke Silva, the children, the entire Jacobs family and the Nigerian film industry.
May God grant Uncle Olu eternal rest, and may He bless all of us in the creative industry with good health and long life. Amen.”
Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, known professionally as Olu Jacobs, was a veteran Nigerian actor and film executive.
He began his career starring in several British television series and international films. Trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England, Olu Jacobs worked with various repertoire theatres in Britain and starred in some international movies.
Jacobs was married to fellow Nollywood actor Joke Silva since 1989. They have two children.
Olu Jacobs was honoured with the Industry Merit Award for outstanding achievements in acting at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
