
The newly appointed Ogun State coordinator of Omoilu Foundation, Mr. Leke Shittu on Friday urged local government coordinators in the state to be dedicated to the Foundation.
He urged them to always work closely with the grand patrons and other stakeholders in their respective local government areas if they are to deliver on their assignment.
Speaking during a stakeholders meeting held on Friday at the Headquarters of Omoilu Foundation in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, Shittu expressed gratitude to the coordinators for their relentless efforts in supporting the foundation.
He said the coordinators must key into the vision of the foundation and assured them of Senator Buruji Kashamu’s willingness to always empower them to deliver on their task.
Speaking on behalf of the grand patrons, Otunba Robert Adenaike from Odogbolu Local Government Area assured the State Coordinator of the support of the grand patrons.
He said: “Our job is to ensure things are done the right way. That is why we were appointed grand patrons. We are ready to support the coordinators and ensure they succeed.
“The Chairman of this Foundation, Senator Buruji Kashamu is a friend of the masses and unparalleled humanitarian who is ready to keep supporting the cause of the downtrodden with his hard-earned resources.”
On his part, the Director of Organisation and Mobilisation of the Foundation, Otunba Koye Ijaduoye urged the coordinators to do more in wooing more members into the Foundation, adding that their primary assignment is to ensure such people are registered so they can benefit from the Foundation’s “empowerment for all” programme.
Alhaji Ganiyu Ayo, of Abeokuta North Local Government Area, who spoke on behalf of the local government coordinators, praised the new coordinator for swinging into action few days after assuming office.
He assured the new state coordinator of their commitment and cooperation towards achieving the set goals and objectives.
