The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that President Bola Tinubu will support whoever emerges as the party’s candidate on April 20, dismissing fears of a crisis over the primary outcome.
The party’s chairman, Ade Adetimehin, made this known during a meeting with aspirants at the APC secretariat in Akure, the state capital.
Adetimehin emphasized the party’s commitment to avoiding crisis ahead of the primaries, noting that APC is the most viable and stable party in the state, ensuring victory in the forthcoming governorship polls.

Adetimehin praised the quality of aspirants seeking the party’s ticket, indicating a level playing field for all aspirants.
He urged them to be cautious in their statements to prevent escalating tensions.
He stated, “The State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee under my leadership will do our utmost to fulfil our responsibilities, despite any kind of challenge, to ensure we provide a level playing field for a free, fair, credible, and smooth primary election.
“We will also ensure that due process is followed in all party decisions, and we shall abide by all existing laws, rules, and guidelines as provided by the National Working Committee to enable party members to vote for the best candidate of their choice.”
