The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has rejected the report submitted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, regarding alleged irregularities in the party’s primary held on April 20.
The party expressed shock at the report’s verdict, dismissing it as unfounded.
Despite the reported irregularities, the APC urged its members in the state to remain resolute and concentrate on the forthcoming November 16 governorship election.

INEC officials, in their report, highlighted various irregularities observed during the shadow election across the state’s 203 political wards. These irregularities included the non-arrival of electoral materials in some areas and improper collation of election results.
Alex Kalejaye, the APC’s Publicity Secretary in the state, accused certain party members of scheming to discredit the election process.
Alex clarified that while there were disruptions in Ifedore and Ilaje local government areas, the cancellations were meant to uphold the process’s integrity and fairness.
Kalejaye emphasized that the voting strength of party members in the affected areas was not significant enough to compromise the overall credibility of the election.
He cast doubt on the authenticity of the report attributed to an INEC agent and called on party supporters to ignore it.
The APC in Ondo State reiterated its commitment to winning the governorship election and retaining control of the state, urging its supporters to remain focused on this goal.
