The ransom demanded by kidnappers of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae, has been reduced from 100million to N90million naira.
Falae, a chieftain of the resuscitated Social Democratic Party, SDP, was abducted on his farmland in Ilado, Akure North local government area of Ondo State by suspected herdsmen on Monday.
Sources within the family said negotiation was still on between the family and the abductors but it is unknown if he has been allowed to speak with his relations.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mike Ogbodu, who assured the family on the police readiness to rescue the former presidential candidate alive, has taken over the investigative team.
