The Ondo State Government has denied reports that it collected N82bn from the Federal Government.
The government made the denial via a statement released by Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade.
Akinmade also accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being behind the allegation.
The statement reads in part:
“The task is more herculean for the APC because of the unprecedented high standard of governance it will inherit from the incumbent government.”
“Feeding the people with lies won’t do it, but sincerity of purpose and a genuine desire to make an impact on the lives of the people.”
Akinmade was referring to the victory of APC candidate and now governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu in the November 26 elections.
Meanwhile, Governor Olusegun Mimiko has congratulated Akeredolu on his victory.
