Brentford striker, Ivan Toney has come out to say that Yaya Toure was a cold penalty-kick taker. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he does not think the Ivorian midfielder missed any of his spot kicks while he played, and his record from the spot is something ridiculous.

Toney added that apart from Mahrez who comes close, no one has displayed a better first touch in football than Dimitar Berbatov.
His words, “Yaya Toure is cold. I don’t think he’s missed. He scored 29 in a row or something like that. I missed that one [against Newcastle in 2023] to make it level.”
On the toughest defenders he has faced, “Zouma, them kind of centre-backs, are scary. I remember I played against him and went up for a header, he jumped so high he basically kicked me on my shoulder. I feel like I jumped quite high but he just jumped some silly height. After that I just thought ‘I’ll go on the other side’. Konate, he’s aggressive. [Lisandro] Martinez as well.”
On strikers he admires, “I’d say [Dimitar] Berbatov. First touch… no one’s got a better touch than him. Probably [Riyad] Mahrez but other than Mahrez there’s no one else that’s got a better touch.”
WOW.
