Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has expressed confidence that opposition parties will have little visibility in the upcoming November 16 local government election in the state.
Abiodun attributed his assurance of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s sweeping victory to his administration’s achievements over the past five years, coupled with the quality of candidates fielded by the ruling party across the state’s 20 LGAs.
The governor’s statement was relayed through his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Kayode Akinmade.
The governor asserted that his administration has fostered a political climate where opposition parties operate freely without intimidation.
He noted that the APC’s governance style focuses on innovative development projects rather than relying on outdated political tactics, setting it apart from its rivals.
Abiodun urged party members to increase their commitment and unity to maintain the accomplishments of the past years and ensure the party’s victory at the polls.
“With the quality of candidates our party is presenting in the forthcoming local government election, the APC remains the party to beat,” Abiodun stated.
“We have made remarkable impacts in the lives of our people, which has become our defining strength.
Rather than resorting to physical intimidation, our administration has effectively silenced the opposition through impactful projects, creative initiatives, and prudent management, which have established Ogun State as a leader.”
He further charged APC members across all LGAs to uphold the achievements recorded over the past five years by working together for a resounding victory on November 16.
