Adeleke, it is anticipated, would also announce in the coming days his aspiration to contest the 2022 gubernatorial election in Osun State under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His aspiration nevertheless has been generating problems within the party in the state as a section, which supports him under the leadership of the current party chairman, Sunday Bisi, is at loggerheads with Olasoji Adagunodo, the ousted chairman and supporter of another aspirant, Akin Ogunbiyi.

Recall that Senator Ademola Adeleke was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun 2018 gubernatorial election where he was defeated after a rerun by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and current governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola.
