Former Kaduna State Senator Shehu Sani has described the Osun State governorship election as a crucial contest for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s political future.
Sani said Adeleke was effectively fighting for his political survival as voters in the state decide whether to retain him in office or elect a new governor.

He made the remark while commenting on the significance of the election and the political competition surrounding the poll.
According to Sani, the contest carries substantial implications for Adeleke, particularly given the intense rivalry between the major political parties and candidates.
He noted that the outcome could influence Adeleke’s political standing and determine his future role in Osun State and beyond.
The former lawmaker urged political actors to accept the outcome of the election and avoid actions capable of undermining peace.
He also called on security agencies and electoral officials to remain neutral and ensure that voters are allowed to exercise their rights without intimidation.
Sani stressed that the credibility of the election was more important than the interests of individual candidates or political parties.
He urged all stakeholders to respect the democratic process and pursue any grievances through lawful channels after the final results are announced.
