Osun Denies Plan To Reduce Work Force

aregbesola-12323The Osun State Government said on Wednesday that there were no plans by Governor Rauf Aregbesola to sack workers, if re-elected, as being peddled in some quarters.

A Senior Special Assistant to the governor, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyinloye, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Oshogbo.

Oyinloye said the speculation that Aregbessola would reduce the state’s labour force, if reelected, was the handiwork of the opposition.

The adviser said the governor had made it public that his (governor’s) second term in office would rather employ more workers than sack them.

“The efforts and programmes of Aregbesola administration had clearly shown love for our people generally; we will do everything possible to better the lot of our people”, Oyinloye said.

He added that the opposition had nothing to justify their political ambition and urged the workers not to be deceived by the antics of some politicians. (NAN)
