Osun state Chapter of the PDP, on Saturday, spoke aloud over the alleged importation of about 50 buses loaded with people by the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the INEC registration in the state.
.
But the ruling APC described the allegation as not only uncalled for but most irresponsible.
.
The PDP Chairman in the state Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa in a statement to newsmen, in Osun state, stated that the ruling party had allegedly perfected its plan to rig the forthcoming election in the state.
.
Alhaji Olaoluwa said: “It was disheartening to know that a sitting governor can bring himself down to the level of fraud. What Aregbesola had perpetrated during the Anambra elections is what he is trying to do during the gubernatorial election in Osun.”
.
The PDP chairman also warned the Federal Mortgage Bank not to grant the N10 billion loan to Aregbesola as they will be doing so at their own risk.
.
Alhaji Olaoluwa challenged Governor Aregbesola to explain what he had done with the several loans he had allegedly obtained while calling on security operatives to be more vigilant as the APC was allegedly planning to import people to the state to cause crisis.
.
The APC in its swift reaction by the Director of Research, Publicity and Strategy, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi challenged the opposition PDP to go a bit further and prove its “latest and most irresponsible allegation.”
.
His words: ”The PDP indeed needs help because its scattered home has impacted negatively on its psyche.
.
“The PDP, from all that emanate from its Osogbo office these days shows that it is a collection of not just irresponsible politicians, but a dishonourable outfit unworthy of participating in civilised political engagement.
.
“For 90 months, the PDP government lacked the vision to turn the fortunes of our people around, but now has the effrontery to challenge the current APC government which has impacted on the lives of the people in all areas in just 38 months.
.
“The good people of Osun who Gov Aregbesola is serving faithfully are fully behind his government and they are prepared whenever INEC calls the shot to finally nail the coffin of what is left of PDP in the state.”
.
The APC called on the PDP in the state to stop disgracing the Yoruba nation by playing degraded and uncivilised politics that even motor park touts will not contemplate.
