The Osun State Government has emphatically stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke adequately informed the state’s citizens about his working vacation to Europe and Asia.
This marks the first time Governor Adeleke has taken a break since assuming office.
Addressing recent reports circulating on various platforms, allegedly from the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adeleke on New Media, the government, in a statement signed by Olalekan Badmus, Special Assistant (New Media) to Governor Adeleke, dismissed the information as false and attributed it to mischief makers.

Badmus denied issuing the statement and urged the public to treat the information as baseless.
He further disclosed that Governor Adeleke had directed the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, to brief the media on the administration’s one-year landmark achievements on Monday, November 27.
The statement clarified, “Governor Adeleke had duly notified Osun people of his working vacation to Europe and Asia, the first time he would take a break since assuming the governorship seat.”
It also highlighted that the Governor had halted any celebration of the one year in office to conserve state resources, aligning with the challenging times faced by the citizenry.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State had previously accused Governor Adeleke of providing false information about his whereabouts, asserting that he had been on holiday in the United States of America for the past two weeks.
