The suspension order placed on Lukman Afolabi, the caretaker chairman of Ede South main local government, has been lifted by the Osun State House of Assembly.
This development was revealed by Olamide Tiamiyu, the Chief Press Secretary of the Speaker, on Thursday.
Afolabi’s suspension had been announced by the House of Assembly on Wednesday, citing alleged misconduct.
He had been instructed to hand over to his vice, but following an investigation, the suspension was lifted.
In a statement, the House said, “The decision was taken after the parliamentary meeting of the Assembly today when the honourable members reviewed the investigations conducted.
“The Assembly has therefore recalled the Chairman to resume office with immediate effect.”
