Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has warned Lagosians to not consume chloroquine as an anti-COVID-19 drug.
Sanwo-Olu revealed this at a recent media briefing while he gave an update on the COVID-19, held in Lagos House, Marina, Lagos Island.
According to the governor, the usage of the anti-malaria drug to combat coronavirus must be stopped because some hospitals in Lagos have started recording patients suffering from chloroquine poisoning.
He added that anyone using it indiscriminately will only be harming his or her body except if it is on a doctor’s prescription.
