Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has come out to say that a stomach bug has spread through the squad. He recently provided an update on Cole Palmer after a bout of diarrhoea, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Palmer, Reece James and Nkunku all had stomach issues during their last training session, so fans will need to wait and see if they’ll feature in the Conference League.
Maresca added that Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke could be back after the international break.
His words, “Cole, Reece and Christo (Nkunku), first session [today]. Yesterday they weren’t here. They all had some problems. Today they are all back and better. Probably, yes, I don’t know [illness in squad]. We see for tomorrow if we use some of them.
[Nicolas Jackson] could be back after the international break, Noni [Madueke] also. It’s good news. We can recover energy and players and go for the last sprint.
Lavia is much better. He’s not in the Conference League squad, unfortunately. The target is the same as Reece James… to be fit until the end and play as much as he can.”
