Former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a preferable “evil” compared to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Lamido urged Nigerians to choose the PDP and escape the challenging situation created by the APC.
In an interview with Arise News, Lamido recounted how he faced criticism and humiliation for warning Nigerians about the dangers of the APC.

He stated, “I think the choice is very narrow. You either join the PDP or you remain in your own hell. No matter how you analyze it, no matter what we have stolen, or how dirty we are, we are still better than the APC.”
Lamido emphasized that the current options for Nigerians are between two evils: the “very dangerous evil” of the APC and the “maybe very saintly evil” of the PDP.
He reflected on his past warnings about the APC, stating, “I was vilified, humiliated, and called a devil.
I went through all kinds of agony simply because I was trying to warn Nigerians about the APC, and now they are in power and see what’s happening.”
Lamenting the current state of Nigeria, Lamido noted that hardship has become a unifying factor among Nigerians.
He expressed his belief in Nigeria’s potential, describing the country as blessed and well-endowed by God with a significant human population. However, he highlighted a missing element in the country’s development.
Lamido criticized the hardships endured during the eight years of APC governance, stating, “We have been through hell and overwhelmed, now being pushed to the extreme. Both the rich and poor are crying.”
