kwara PDPThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara has set up five committees to reposition the party after its defeat in the April 11 governorship election.

Dr Rex Olawoye, Publicity Secretary of the party said in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Ilorin.

He said that the committees were set up after Saturday’s meeting of the party’s State Executive Council which x-rayed PDP performance in the 2015 general elections.

The party spokesman listed the committees to include Finance, Research and Strategy, Media and Publicity, Mobilisation and Legal, and said they would be inaugurated before May 29.

He said the meeting also deliberated on the 2017 Local Government Councils elections in the state.

Olawoye said that the party lost “gallantly” and would play its role as an opposition party “until the state is liberated from socioeconomic and political bondage”. (NAN)
