On Tuesday evening, governors who are members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) converged on Abuja for an emergency meeting.
It was learnt that the meeting was called because of the current issue in Rivers State, which is occurring because some members of the state house of assembly have begun attempts to impeach Sim Fubara, the governor who was elected on the platform of the PDP.
As of right now, the emergency gathering of PDP governors can be found taking place at the Governors Lodge of Oyo State in Abuja.

According to InfoStride News, throughout the overnight hours of Sunday and the early morning hours of Monday, a few members of the Rivers State House of Assembly attempted to impeach Fubara.
Several governors from the PDP were seen arriving, including Fubara, Bala Mohammed from Bauchi, Caleb Muftwang from Plateau, Dauda Lawal from Zamfara, and Ahmadu Fintiri from Adamawa.
Others are Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun.
Attending the conference are also members of the National Working Committee of the party, chaired by Iliya Damagum, who is now serving in the role of Acting Chairman.
