PDP is currently leading in some polling units in Gwarinpa Estate in the Local Council elections in Abuja, with APC breathing down their neck.
The presiding officers revealed the outcome in several polling units in the estate.
At the Gwarinpa Model City gate polling unit 013B, Presiding Officer, Nwankwo Bede disclosed that Princess Vivian Anazodo, PDP, received 119 votes while APC’s Alhaji Abdullahi Candido attracted 55 votes in the Chaimanship race.
At the same Gwarinpa Model City gate polling unit, PDP received 112 votes while APC polled 54 votes in the race of seat of Councillor.
At the Gwarinpa Model Primary school polling unit 024, Presiding officer, Sebastine Ebuka said APC got 130 votes, losing to PDP that received 143 votes.
The APC, however, are ahead in the councillorship seat with 140 votes with PDP behind with 134 votes.
Meanwhile, Presiding Officer, Ruben Njoku revealed that APC polled 65 votes for the Chairmanship seat while PDP received 41 votes. As for who will be councillor, APC had 65 votes while PDP received 37 votes.
Happy with the result of the election, voters felt the success recorded was due to the early arrival of INEC staff and a rapid way voting began when everyone settled.
