Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Oyegun has urged residents of Edo State not to vote the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into office during the September 10 governorship elections.
Oyegun also accused the PDP of mismanaging the state during its tenure as the ruling party.
The APC Chairman made the comments while speaking to residents of Jagbe in the Agbede community of the Etsako-East Local Government Area of the state, Punch reports.
“Edo State suffered so much mismanagement under the Peoples Democratic Party,” Oyegun said.
“What we need is a responsible government that will sustain the ongoing development projects of the current administration and actualise the industrialisation, youth employment and women empowerment agenda that will lead to a prosperous and sustainable future for all Edo people,” he added.
The APC is being represented at the election by Godwin Obaseki while the PDP candidate is Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
