The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has mourned the passage of Chief Emma Nweze, a former Chairman of the party in Anambra state.
In a statement by the PDP national Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, and sent to the media on Thursday, the party described Nweze’s death as a devastating loss not only to the great PDP, but also the nation at large, given his exceptional sense of patriotism towards the stability, unity and development of our nation as well as the entrenchment of democratic tenets of justice, equity and good governance in line with the ideology of the PDP.
The PDP stated that Chief Nweze, untill his unfortunate demise was a quintessential administrator, a dogged democrat, remarkably humble team player and grassroots mobilizer, who made innumerable sacrifices for the stability and growth of the party and remained loyal to the good cause, for which the party is known, to the very end.
According to the statement, “the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is heartbroken over the death of the former Chairman of its Anambra State chapter, Chief Emma Nweze (Agbalanze).
“It is painful that Agbalanze left the scene at a time our great party and indeed the people of Anambra need his wealth of experience, political sagacity and forthrightness the most, but we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life in the service of humanity to the glory of God.
“Our party commiserate with the Nweze’s family, the PDP fold in Anambra state, as well as the people of Anambra state as we supplicate to God to give us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos has lost its Secretary, Muiz Dosunmu Shodipe.
Taofik Gani, the Publicity Secretary, made the announcement in a statement.
The spokesman described Shodipe’s demise as a great loss.
The party noted that the occurrence may slow the reengineering of the platform in Lagos.
Gani said the PDP has submitted to the will of God and prayed for the repose of the departed.
