The National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, on Tuesday said that the party would compensate loyal members.

He made this known when the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) Elders Council, led by former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, visited him at the party`s national headquarters, Abuja.

Mu `azu, who was responded to complaints that loyal party members had not be adequately compensated, added that PDP would provide a level playing ground for all members.

He promised to meet President Goodluck Jonathan on how the party would adequately compensate loyal party members.

Meanwhile, Mu`azu has urged all PDP support groups not to be “Abuja politicians’’, but to embark on grassroots mobilisation for the party ahead of 2015 general elections.

He also assured that due consultation would be carried out with major party stakeholders before critical decisions were taken in order to carry all party members along.

Earlier, Mantu told the chairman that “all those who have been working for the party have not been adequately compensated.
.
“I urge the chairman to look into such anomaly and ensure that loyal members are compensated,’’ Mantu said.

Mantu commended Mu`azu for his stance against bribery, adding that such position would bring sanity to the party and the society at large.

He urged the party national chairman to constitute a reconciliation committee to bring all aggrieved party members back to its fold.

He also tasked the national chairman to commence e-registration of party members to know the total number of PDP members and the strength of the party in each state of the federation.

The national coordinator of the group and Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, called on the opposition to appreciate the developmental stride of Jonathan.

He added that plans were underway to showcase the achievements of Jonathan to Nigerians across the six geo-political zones of the federation.
