Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will regain control of Ondo State from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 2024 governorship election.
Makinde made this statement on Monday during a meeting with PDP leaders from the South-West geopolitical zone in Ibadan. The meeting was aimed at reconciling PDP factions in Ondo State.
Despite APC’s current hold on Ondo State, Makinde stated that the PDP is now united and determined to unseat the APC in the upcoming election.

He highlighted that PDP’s governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, and other parties would collaborate to ensure the party’s victory.
Makinde emphasized the support of PDP leaders and stakeholders from all six South-West states for the Ondo PDP candidate, expressing optimism about a strong showing by the PDP in the November election.
