The National and State House of Assembly election petitions tribunal for Plateau State will begin its first sitting in Jos, the state capital today, the tribunal secretary, Elsie Akpabio, said.
Akpabio, in a statement issued in Jos on Thursday, said the venue of the sitting will be the High Court of justice headquarters and called on those who lost the elections and are aggrieved to file their cases.
The statement emphasized that the sitting is exclusively for those who lost the National and state House of Assembly elections held on Match 28 and April 11, 2015, respectively.
From feelers gathered so far, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state is set to challenge outgoing Governor Jonah Jang, who defeated its candidate, Eunice Ayisa Sambo, for the Plateau-North senatorial seat.
The party will also challenge the emergence of former FCT minister, General Jeremiah Useni (retd.) as senator-elect for Plateau-South senatorial district.
The former minister defeated General John Nanzip Shagaya (retd.), in the election.
