    Plateau PDP Guber Candidate Expresses Satisfaction With Card Readers

    The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State, Sen. Gyang Pwajok, on Saturday in Jos, the state capital, expressed satisfaction with the use of the Card Reader for accreditation of voters.

    He said this while being accredited for the polls at his Ali Kazaure Polling Unit in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.

    The senator, who was accredited at about 9.25 a.m., said it took the machine just 30 seconds to confirm his eligibility to vote.

    “It took not less than 30 seconds for the card reader to confirm my authenticity; this allays the fears of people over its reliability”, he said.

    Pwajok enjoined the people to conduct themselves calmly during the entire exercise. (NAN)
    Ladura 1 and 2 polling units in Du, Gov. Jonah Jang’s village, recorded large turnout of voters though most of their cards were rejected by the card readers.

    The Presiding Officer, Olabode Busaye, however, said such voters would fill incidence forms and be allowed to vote.

    Ladura unit one comprises of 723 voters while Ladura two, has 911 registered voters. (NAN)
