In a resounding show of solidarity, Plateau State witnessed a passionate appeal from youths across its 17 local government areas.
Organized under the Plateau Support Network (PSN), the group fervently called on the judiciary to reconsider the recent Court of Appeal decision ousting Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
During a spirited solidarity walk in Jos, the PSN emphasized the importance of recognizing the electoral mandate bestowed upon Governor Mutfwang by the people of Plateau State.

InfoStride News recalls that the Court of Appeal nullified the victories of Governor Mutfwang and other elected officials in the February 25 and March 18, 2023, general elections, citing a lack of structure for their party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state.
The court’s decision has triggered widespread condemnation, with PSN’s spokesman, Sokshak Shikse, noting that Governor Mutfwang’s initial victory sparked jubilant celebrations across the state.
Shikse highlighted the tangible progress made by Mutfwang’s administration in areas such as security, infrastructure, amenities, and human capital development within months of inauguration.
Shikse emphasized, “Governor Caleb Mutfwang, in justifying the mandate given to him and understanding the dreams, hopes, and aspirations of his people, immediately swung into the onerous action of governance.”
He further asserted that Mutfwang’s exemplary leadership, a quality long overdue in the state, has endeared him to the people of Plateau.
Expressing unwavering support, Shikse stated, “The Plateau Support Network and responsible citizens have gathered here to express our unequivocal, unalloyed, and resounding support and vote of confidence for His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and his ‘The Time is Now’ administration through this solidarity walk.”
The PSN spokesperson concluded by urging the courts to respect the people’s mandate and adhere strictly to constitutional provisions in the process of delivering judgments at the petitions tribunal.
“We have faith in the hallowed chambers of the judiciary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Shikse remarked, expressing confidence in the justices’ ability to deliver justice in the election petition case at the Supreme Court.
