Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State, has ordered a 24-hour curfew in Mangu Local Government Area as a result of attacks by alleged bandits that left people dead and property destroyed.
In a statement posted on Sunday, Gyang Bere, the governor’s director of press and public affairs, announced the news.
According to the statement, the curfew was put in place to reestablish law and order in the neighborhood.
Therefore, the statement continued, “Movements within the Local Government have been prohibited until further notice, with the exception of security personnel and persons on essential duties.”
