Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu has promised that the police would be effective and neutral during the Nov. 16 governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.
Mohammed Adamu disclosed this in Lafia at an event held in his honor by the Lafia Progressive Forum.
According to him, the police would learn from its experiences in February to make sure free, fair and credible elections are guaranteed in both states.
He then thanked the people of Lafia for honoring him and pledged not to fail them.
His words, “There is nothing good than for one to be celebrated by his people at home. I will continue to be a good ambassador of my community by discharging my duties with sincerity and the fear of God.”
Reacting, Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, said his state is proud of Mohammed and the things he has achieved since he became IGP.
