Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has blasted a Nigerian gym that allowed an unflattering photo of actress Nkechi Blessing to be taken and circulated online. Recall that the picture, showing Blessing during a workout, recently trended and sparked widespread body-shaming on social media.
Reacting via his social media page, Freeze revealed that the incident is a massive embarrassment for gyms across the country.
According to him, it is very wrong for any fitness institution to let anyone take a picture of their client just to mock the person.
He maintained that CCTV must be used to fish out the person responsible, stressing that failure to do so would be a clear breach of Nkechi Blessing’s privacy.
“Nigerian Gyms, this is an embarrassment. How can someone take a picture of your client and post it online to mock them? We need to see the CCTV to identify the person responsible. If not, your gym is a useless gym. You failed to protect your client’s privacy. This is unfair, and she is being trolled online. This is wrong,” he wrote.
Nkechi Blessing also spoke out hours ago, expressing frustration over the invasion of her privacy and the online ridicule.
She concluded by emphasising the importance of respecting personal space and dignity, regardless of one’s public status.
